History of the Sanctuary

Click to zoom the imageBuilt towards the IX 2nd century half A. C. by the monks Benedictines of the monastery of Sant' Angelo delle indulgenze. The unit was smaller than the current sanctuary. In 1865 the Abbot Carlo Maria De Vera within sight of the enthusiasm of the population authorizes the enlarging of the sanctuary with the 3 vessels and in appendix the convent (current Sanctuary). The frescos were carried out by the painter of Sant' Elia Enrico Risi and the visible frescos to date are the work of the painter Giovanni Bizzoni.

the religious Festival of Casalucense with place every years, 2 weeks after Easter. This festival proceeds over three days saturdays, Sunday and Monday.
